Awesome Storm Justice started as a community project at the Penciljack website. A piece of artwork posted by a member of the Penciljack community received the comment "Awesome Storm Justice 41." Another community member commented that it sounded like a Japanese superhero team.
A contest was held to create the designs for members of the team. The original contest winners are credited with the character design:
A video game, Awesome Storm Justice 41: Dark Days in Summerside City, is being developed by Rusty Axe games.
The superhero team battles dastardly villain and philanthropist Dennis Dennis III.[1]
The Awesome Storm Justice 41 webcomic is a collaborative project involving over 100 comic creators. Each 6-page episode, or "webisode," has a unique creative team. It utilizes the talents of many professional, semi-professional, and aspiring professional artists, writers, and editors, on a volunteer basis.
Awesome Storm Justice 41 has received coverage on Drawn![1], Silver Bullet Comics[2], and is listed in the Comic Book Database[3].
Many of the contributors to Awesome Storm Justice are an integral part of the 100 Artists Project[4] a charity endeavor to raise money for art-related organizations starting with the Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
